The PLUG website is hosted on Drupal (see that sweet blue balloonhead on the favicon on the page? That's drupal).
You can also display source and see these:
<script type="text/javascript" src="/misc/jquery.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="/misc/drupal.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="/modules/event/eventblock.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="/misc/progress.js"></script>Here's the "beEF" on email notification from Calender module in Drupal:
http://drupalmodules.com/category/Event?page=1
I am not sure which calender module or customization from looking here. Certainly upgraded modules or Drupal version can be implemented for automation.
I think the point Hans was making was he was already strapped with duties and can't manage it, so whoever takes it on can, with time and demonstrated commitment, upgrade it as needed.
