Bluetooth tethering in Linux

Hey everyone,

I've recently signed up for a smartphone/data plan which allows me to
use my smartphone as a dial-up modem.  I'm able to do this in Mac OS
X, but was wondering if anyone had any luck doing similar under
Linux/PPC?  There seem to be few cases of this working from what I've
seen thus far, but only for AT&NSA and Verizon and not Alltel...
