I think you're barking up the wrong tree...
go here...
http://mirrors.kernel.org/centos/4/os/i386/
or any other centos mirror...
get the RPM-GPG-KEY file
then go into the CentOS folder and get the rest of the rpms listed on
that fixlinux site (this directory is the current versions which are
much newer than the ones listed from the 2006 fixlinux article)
download them all.
install all the rpms at once... i.e.
rpm -Uvh *rpm
and you should be good to go
