   I am sending this from gmail.com, and in response

I am sending it in "non HTML" (plain text) format.
Note:  it is very easy.  Gmail (Google) had a little
"link" on the screen, lableled "<< Plain Text"
(displayed as underlined, since clickable)
and I just clicked on it.  One click.  pretty easy.
