Those at the eastside meeting last night will remember that I needed to
borrow a laptop to give my presentation because my Dell Latitude has a
native screen resolution of 1680x1050 and the projector required 1024x768.
You can change the resolution at the konsole with xrandr or xvidtune
both can show your current setting if you're unsure.
What we overlooked was that KDE has a tray utility frontend to xrandr
called krandrtray and it was sitting right in the tray!
krandrtray can not only change resolution but rotate the display,
control power management, adjust the gamma of each screen independently
so they match and configure multiple monitors with different resolutions
if need be.
Just what we needed last night!
