trouble playing .mov files

I'm using a FC3beta1 box.  Packages I have installed:

mplayer-vidix-nVidia-1.0pre3.20040217-0.1
mplayer-skins-1.6-1.fr
[bob at donelle tmp]$ rpm -qa | grep code
mencoder-1.0-0.16.pre7.1.fc3
transcode-0.6.12-5.1.fc2.fr
[bob at donelle tmp]$

What error do you get when playing the movie?
