And to set the record straight, the laptop I'm typing this from has
nvidia graphics. I bought the laptop from Linux Certified, thinking that
going to a business that sold Linux computers and did Linux training
would have put together a machine with open source friendly components,
etc. Well, I learned that that's not the case.

The point I'm making here is that just because it's Linux doesn't mean
it's Open/Free. You can't count on any business that "supports" Linux to
support any underlying ideals or goals. Businesses are there to make
money, and Linux is as good a niche as any. If any of you are interested
in freedom, then you'll have to think and act on your own a bit more.
I've been guilty in the past. I'm at least a bit more aware now.
