How do I mount my hdd under knoppix?

Why change the root directory if you are just wanting to mount it?  It 
sounds like he just wanted to get access to the files on the drive while 
in knoppix.  If he chroots it and it isn't a linux partition then there 
won't be access to any of the commands anymore.
