Sr Tools Engineer position (shortage of programmers)

This is not totally inline with this post however I have to ask.  

Does it seem there maybe a shortage of programmers.  In conversations with several prospective client this last two weeks I got the distinct impression either everyone is raising their rates or there is a shortage.  Raising rates would also be and indicator as well.   

Also, several of the freelancers I know are stating they are overwhelmed with work and requests for work.

Could it be?  finally?

Too late :-P  Kinda weired me out there for a minute, as I'm currently 
looking for a job myself (and have my resume up at several locations).  
While I would love to be making that kind of money (which is 3-4 times 
what I currently am making, lol), I am WAY under-experienced for that 
position.  I began to wonder what the sender may have been smoking, then 
I fully read the message. :-P
