core2 duo major bugs

Admittedly I did not read all the posts to this thread before deleting them,
but has anyone pointed out that Linus Torvalds does not agree (
http://blogs.zdnet.com/Ou/?p=559 ) with the supposed severity of these
"bugs".  Also the description I read more often was that much of this is the
result of people discovering and using undocumented "functionality".  When
was the last time a CPU existed that did not have some such thing
discovered?
