Desktop cluttered.

Create a "Stuff" folder on the Desktop and put everything in there. Then you only have one icon!

I have the desktop as I modified it back in 94 and so don't have anything new 
they have on it. Is there an easier way to put the default desktop on it 
without creating a new user and then copying files from that user to the 
other one? If I must do it that way could you tell me which files to create?
