need a good graphics card for my laptop (kubuntu)

..but don't give up on it without googling for a hardware site or group that might have more info.
If it can be done, there's probably some site out there with the information on how to do it.

Maybe you can, maybe you can't.  Most of the Dell XPS line does have seperate replaceable video cards, but not neccesarily changeable/upgradeable.  Oftentimes the sockets will be different from card to card.  If you can change them out, often times you'll find you'll be limited to what cards were originally offered in the machine.  


 

Upgrading laptops isn't at all like upgrading desktop mahcines, altho they're getting there.
