Samsung 712N and xorg.conf

I am trying to get my Dad's computer working with his Samsung SyncMaster 712N,
and am having some trouble.

I am 2000 miles away which doesn't help with the debug either.

He says that he can't get to the bottom of his screen at all to get to the
menus, etc. Which tells me that he may be in a lower resolution than he
desires.

Can anyone help here?

He is using CentOS 5
KDE
Samsung SyncMaster 712N

his xorg.conf looks like this:
