It's possible the guy at Walmart was telling the truth.  Some drone from 
the MPAA probably saw one at Walmart then sent them a threatening 
letter.  Forcing these devices off the market won't do anything to stop 
piracy.  You can get the same job done without one by plugging a vhs 
machine into a dvd recorder then ripping the dvd.
