I am not actually suggesting any other venue, (nor volunteering
to do any work), but lots of folks have the day off on the Friday
after Thanksgiving, (Nov. 24 this year),
so if we could find a good place, maybe that day would work...

(disclaimer:  [or, is it disclosure?] my employer "supposedly" has
  a [paid] day off on the Fri. after Thanksgiving, but I think this year
  they are expecting some folks to work some "overtime" that day...)
