Job Description:
This position is for a Linux Administrator. As a Linux Administrator, your
primary job duty will be to administer Linux servers handling services from
DNS to VoIP. This job will require the applicant to become intimately
familiar with networking including IPv4 subnetting, common broadband
routers, and IP routing on Cisco routers. The applicant will also be
responsible for handling general Internet support calls and interacting with
vendors.

This is a full time standard business hours position (8 hours a day) with
benefits including health insurance, 401k, holidays, sick time, and
vacation.  The salary for this position is 40k to 50k /year.

Phoenix Internet does expect promptness, courtesy, integrity,
professionalism, and the ability for a technician to make independent
decisions.

. Windows and Linux PC skills 
. IP networking skills 
. Pleasant and clear phone voice 
. Good customer communication 
. Good organization 
. Be able to make sound independent judgments when the need arises

Requirements:
. Applicant must have a High School diploma or equivalent. 
. Applicant will be required to handle after-hours phone calls based on a
schedule divided among other employees.
. Applicant may be asked on occasion to go out on a service call to perform
local network troubleshooting.
