I don't really want to continue this thread but I think you're missing
my point.  The company 'Microsoft' does not follow laws--whether US,
European, copyright, GPL, whatever.  They have stolen code before--such
as staxx software utitilities in DOS--they don't comply with regs handed
down but judges or authorities--like giving out proper specs to Windows
networking as demanded by US and European courts.  And there are many

Whether or not there is a MS sanctioned version of Linux (virtualized or
not) the company has never shown regard for copyright or the law so it
seems unlikely that they will start now.  Of course it would be great if
I were wrong. ;)
