Linux on laptops

I can vouch for MEPIS! I've been running 3.4.2 on my pavilion since it first
came out, and I installed 6.0 beta2 (MEPIS/Windoz XP dual boot) on the
Fujitsu PII 750Mhz I'll be sending out to my son in NE.
This whole laptop thing is getting interesting! I picked up an old Micron PII
300 that really seems to like Vector 5.1 SOHO, and DSL 2.4rc2. Next project
is an IBM i series 1300 (Cereron 700) that is laughably preloaded with Windoz
2000 which by itself fills almost HALF of the tiny 6G HDD!
I have to admit I'm a little disappointed with Xubuntu as it seems a little
buggy on the older hardware, but it's still pretty new and I haven't tried it
on any newer hardware.
...Oh well, back to distrowatch.com...	Stu
