Autotap rather sucks, sorry.
I'm using EFILive, and one of its features is the ability to reflash the PCM
with an altered configuration. It also requires a driver for the USB
interface, which means it will not work under Wine as Wine doesn't provide for
any driver abstraction. VMWare doesn't yet exist for the mactel platform, and
if it did, I would be leery of doing a flash from an emulated environment.
Those PCMs can be bricked, and they're a bit pricy.
