You make excellent points that I agree with. However, in this case
there is a particular "marketing" reason for the separate list.
We have invited computer users from other groups and clubs to join this
list. They are not necessarily geeks nor are they likely to be Linux
users. We thought a "non-Linux" specific email list would be more
inviting to this target "market." The separate email list is intended
to remove the geek/Linux intimidation factor that some may feel.
Application questions will continue to come up in this list, I am sure.
But now we have a place for application questions that are application
specific rather than Linux dependent.
