Flash drive capacity

I would try reformating the drive, but keep in mind that losing 50% of the 
memory capacity can also be an indication of shock/static damage (ie: the 
drive has 2 chips, and one of them may be dead).
 Maybe someone else here has a better idea.
	Just my uneducated guess...
