IBM demands documents detailing Microsoft's rivalry with Linux
"IBM Corp. is seeking to compel Microsoft Corp. to hand over internal
documents detailing its rivalry with the Linux operating system, in a move
that could shed new light on the Redmond company's response to one of its
biggest competitive threats."
"...It's the latest development in IBM's long-running legal dispute with the
SCO Group. SCO, a software company based in Lindon, Utah, has filed suit
against IBM and other companies, alleging that components of its Unix
software were added illegally to Linux.
Microsoft isn't a party to the litigation, and it says it's not involved. But

licensing Unix technology from SCO. Ultimately, the related payments from
Microsoft to SCO totaled more than $16 million, or 21 percent of SCO's
revenue that year..."
