How to start cups?

IF in KDE, go to the config stuff and find printers, follow the menu  and setup the printer. Some distro's find the hp832 I have, others  require a lesser number usually like 830 or 812 to run as they don't  list the 832. Haven't seen any diff, then I only have the black tank  filled. Filled for the 5th time w/Walmart's NuKote ? refiller thingy.

just start   /usr/sbin/cupsd

'service cups start' will work too if there's an init script for it
