make install capture

[Nathan England]

Anyone familiar with checkinstall ? I use installwatch a lot but have found 
many instances where it doesn't catch everything and make DESTDIR=/lala 
install doesn't always work either. Anyone recommend a good library or 
something that can watch an install and then list all the files involved?
