off subject - Unix Production Support Contract to Hire in Chandler!

Hi Group!
 
I have a great client in Chandler that is looking for a UNIX Production
Support person to join their team.  This is a C to P with a rate of
34-37/hr DOE.  Salary is commensurate with experience.
 
*2 - 4 years of production support working with any support of OS and
related applications. Web apps. would be a plus.

*4 - 6 years UNIX administration and script development -- Solaris would
be preferred, but really most any flavor of UNIX. Linux would be a
plus...

*UNIX shell scripting (Bourn, Korn, C, Bash...)

*Technical background or experience with complex applications ( What
type of complex applications)

*Complex web and server applications Financial/Banking apps would be a
plus...

Responsible for managing production of complex electronic commerce
applications and services.  Duties may also in perform system
integration testing of customer payment processing software. 

Functions include contributing to the design, development, quality
assurance testing, and implementation phases of customer
implementations.  Involves developing detailed requirements related to
production support, creating/managing project plans, issues lists,
coordinating appropriate meetings, communicating status to project teams
and Operations, and proactively identifying and resolving problems and
issues.  

 

Requires detailed knowledge of the products/services and application
support of the customer's payment processing including data flows, basic
database structure, technical environments, and security as well as the
various functional groups that support the product/service.  

 

Involves employing creative problem solving skills to generate solutions
for production support; driving for efficiencies and best practices for
streamlined production event recoveries.  Includes recommending
enhancements to product design and operational processes to ensure
customer satisfaction, and/or improved efficiencies.
