I have used the Magiccolor 2300 DL with Linux in the past. I followed
the instructions on linxprinting.org and got it to work under CUPS
using the foo2zjs filter. It was a pain to make it work the first
time. I suggest turning on all the logging in CUPS, I think some wrong
file permissions foiled me for a while.
Once I got it working, there were some annoying things about it (don't
recall exactly), but it did work.
I was using it over a network to the Jet Direct port (TCP 9100).
