dd anyone?

Just this Saturday, I did that very thing, with Ubuntu 5.04 of all
things.  Oddly enough, my first disc failed to install properly, even
though my .iso passed a md5 check as did my burned disc.  The
particular disc was questionable, so I didn't hessitate to burn
another.  The second disc installed flawlessly, from the same .iso...
