Off Subject - Sr. Unix Admin with WAS 5.x Needed!

CDI has a great position for someone that has Senior level Unix
Administration and has WAS 5.x.  This is a 6+month contract paying up to
50/hr W2.  

 

Responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to: 

 

Websphere Application Server (WAS 5.x) Administration experience is
required to be considered for this role.   

Candidates with only WAS 4.x will not be considered as this version has
reached end-of-life status. 

Excellent communications skills are a must-have.  This position is part
of a large enterprise environment, so communication skills are extremely
important in order to interact with business-side clients and/or project
managers. 

3 years AIX/Solaris/Linux administration is required. 

Demonstrable documentation skills are mandatory. 

SQL Server skills are a big plus, although you do not need to have DBA
skills. 

Candidates with a 4-year degree from an accredited university will be
preferred 

Familiarity with the following tools are desired: 

Rational tools (ClearCase, ClearQuest, etc.) 

Introscope or similar monitoring tools (HP OpenView, BMC Patrol, etc.) 

IBM p-series or Sun E10K/E15K hardware 

SAN storage (any manufacturer/system) is a plus. 

zLinux is a big plus.
