the truth is that 'live' cd's though providing an opportunity to sample
Linux and thus figure out that you can pretty much use it, it lacks the
speed and breadth of a real install so it will ultimately pale by
comparison. There's no way that they can provide anything beyond the
most basic application set.

As for the single CD installer, that certainly is possible with any of
the current Red Hat and Fedora installers but considering it takes less
than 15 minutes with say the 4 CD set of RHEL-4 or CentOS 4 or FC-4...it
really shines by having the CD's at your fingertips.
