Samba issue

Is the machine in question at a different patch level than the rest?
Can it ping the smb server? What does netstat show on the workstation
before, and after, the icon appears? Is Windows firewalling doing
something on the new machine?
Just throwing some stuff out there, as no one else has replied, yet...
