Get to the calendar by clicking the topic on the left memu or the calendar 
below that.
In the upper right is an "Add" button-ish thing.  Click it.
Fill in the form
At the bottom is a drop-down with Preview and Submit options.  I suggest you 
preview first to proof it.
Submit it.
It will be reviewed by a maintainer for actual posting to the calendar.

Is everyone else listening?  Submit your events.  The maintainers don't know 
and don't want to have to write them all!
