I started using Linux because it was different - something new to
learn.  Then Linux became something cool to learn.  Eventually Linux led
me to the path of freedom - mine, yours, and everyone's.

As Linux matures, the reason someone tries it for the first time may be
different than mine was.  Hopefully, you, me, and the rest of the Linux
users will lead each and every one of those new users down the
enlightened path to true freedom.
