mail problem from my main box

This setting, as well as all other mozilla settings, are stored in the
.mozilla directory in your home directory.

You probably just need to fix the setting at:
Edit -> Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings -> Outgoing Server(SMTP)

The correct Server Name for Earthlink is: smtpauth.earthlink.net

You need to check the box: Use name and password

Earthlink requires this now. The username needs to be the same as your email
address, ie: mazdaracer@earthlink.net
