debian upgrade problem

When going from 'woody' to 'sid' you are really doing a distribution
upgrade. You should have done:

1. Edit sources.list to point to ustable.
2. apt-get update.
3. apt-get dist-upgrade

To understand a bit the difference between an upgrade and a dist-upgrade
