I'm currently running Debian unstable. At one time Mozilla looked terrible. Now the fonts are smooth as silk. The problem resolved itself after an apt-get upgrade and apt-get dist-upgrade. Netscape 4.7 still looks bad, but I don't care as I rarely use it. Sorry I can't offer anything more constructive, but don't loose hope on it. --Alexander
