Star Office C

Several months ago I got a copy ($69.xx I think) of StarOffice 6.0.
Installed it on two of my Windows Machines. Shortly after I heard about
this 24.95 StarOffice 6.0. Thought I would go by and get a copy for my
wife's grand daughter (is that one word?). At that time, the $24.95 version
that I found was for a specific distro (Suse 8.0 and only 8.0 I think). It
claimed that It would not work with any other.

After that, I have downloaded OpenOffice for both Linux and Windows. Have
installed it on several windows machines (comes with RH 8.0). I prefer it
to the StarOffice 6.0. Seems to permit the creation of a much wider range
of document types. Or, maybe I loaded 6.0 poorly???

YMMV

Speaking of StarOffice - Fry's has StarOffice 6.0 from Sun for $24.95.
