I think I see your problem...

>     image =/boot/vmlinuz

image is only for loading linux kernels...  To load EvilOS, you want to
use their bootloader:

other=/dev/hda5
label=evil

And that's it, it'll go to /dev/hda5, find their bootloader and run it.
