7.2 is getting a bit old and I don't have any specific recollection of
the errata and other issues from that distro.

I would make sure that all of the errata updates were installed and that
would likely take care of it.

Also, since you have posted separately regarding securing in X & at
console, you probably shouldn't forget how easy it is to defeat all of
the security by booting in linux single mode or with a boot disk.
