Go to: Format->Numbering/Bullets

In the dialog that comes up choose the "Options" tab.

You can then choose level two, and say to show 2 sublevels.  You can
customize all numbering this way.

I got that info from the Star Office Companion.  It's helped me anytime
that I needed it.  Plus, it's published by Sun, so it's also a little
'thank you' for giving us OO.o.
