Question on building a new kernel

Download a kernel .src.rpm
rpm -ivh *.src.rpm
cd /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES
look for the appropriate kernel config file
copy to /usr/src/linux/.config (if you made this link)
make menuconfig
make dep && make clean && make bzImage modules modules_install
