Anybody using Pentium 4 for Linux?

My motherboard just exploded 6 capacitors.  I've heard of problems with P4 and Linux.  Any truth to this because I can't find compatabile P4 mobos on distros sites.

If anyone is using P4 and Linux, please give specs.
