What I would do is download the e-smith server from http://www.e-smith.org
It will do all the partitioning needed during the install. It is a very
good firewall/router/gateway/web server (apache) and email server (qmail)
all rolled into one. It has a browser based administration setup and has
tested very security at some of the sites for security testing. It's
minimum requirements are a P-90, 32 MB RAM and 2 PCI NIC's (Or one NIC and a
modem.) Installation is mostly automatic.

Subject: new install problems
My actual problem is in trying to partition the HD. I run the auto partition
mode and it gives me this message: Could not allocate requested partitions:
partitioning failed: could not allocate partitions. Then it shows me this:
/dev/hda start end size type
mount point
/dev/hda1 1 1022 2012 vfat
free space 1023 1023 1M free space
I am installing this on an old Packard Bell 133 Pent. with 32 Meg of RAM and
a 2 Gig H/D. I intend to set this up as a router in my LAN and to be the
firewall to my cable modem. Any help would be appreciated. Cliff
