Can anyone help with an LTSP installation?

hmmm...ok, what are they supposed to be doing (other than actually being 
able to use a windowing enviroment {gnome/kde, etc})?  map shares, use the 
internet, etc?  What kinda hardware are they?  are there only 2 computers 
that will have linux, or are there more?  If you want, send me an off-list
