Look at the changelog for the packages :). It should be on rpmfind.net via
rpm2html.
I believe Red Hat has been doing a pretty good job backporting fixes,
especially the memory stuff that came out in 2.4.9 and the SCSI problems
that have plagued all of the 2.4.x kernels.

The notes are specific for working with tape drives, but it's still good
info. Note that there might be newer version of 2.4.9 and 2.4.18 available.
Newer releases of the same package are probably good as well.
We are working on updating this site and plan to cover more kernel
instances, for instance kernel packages from other dists, such as, just
maybe, debian ;-), and vanilla kernels from kernel.org.
