The mp3 format is not free of licensing issues and the owners of the format
are tightening the screws on all of us. Mp3 encoders require a licensing fee
now and players may in the future. (Not that you can't find encoders on the
web if you look hard enough)

Ogg files sound better anyway. I wish the format was better supported by
players etc. .

People have worked hard to give us a superior, totally free music format to
replace mp3s. We should support the effort. ;-)
