Another amusing thing to do is build out /etc/hosts with various ad
banner hosts and bad ips and then set up a local 404 handler to return
a 1x1 clear gif and play a 'boom' sound.

127.0.1.3         ln.doubleclick.net
[...]


It's kind of soothing to hear ad banners die on the way by.
