ICQ client?

I'll second on the GnomeICU stuff, I've used it for a long time.  I had
some problems with 0.98.1 and 0.98.2 though.  That was when they were
implementing server side contact lists, I don't think that they did it
entirely right in those versions.  It seems to mostly work now (0.98.3)
though.

Has anyone gotten GAIM to work with ICQ?  It seems that GAIM has a
really nice plug-in infrastructure, but I can't seem to get it to work
with ICQ through my firewall (I haven't tried outside) - I'm think
that's the issue.  I really want to get the GAIM-E stuff working
http://gaim-e.sourceforge.net/  I don't know what I say that needs
encryption, but I think it's always a good idea :)
