How do you boot Windows into a Terminal Window while having Linux up?

Hmm. This is just thinking about this off top of my head, but I just
read something in the latest Linux journal talking about using a cli
command like "startx /usr/X11R6/bin/xterm -- :1" to crank up a basic X
session with nothing but a plain ole xterm running on it, and have it
run on the second (":1") X session (i.e. reachable via ctrl-alt-f8 key
sequence).

So why couldn't you use VMware by putting a script in your .bashrc that
does something like "startx /blah/blah/vmware (insert options for full
screen mode and running a specific (say windows) virtual machine here)"?
That way, when you login, you automatically get a virtual windows (or
whatever) machine running on the second session, that you can then use
the ctrl-alt-f7 or 8 sequence to switch between your sessions.

Am I nuts, or would that work very similarly to what Mario is describing?
