InstallFest Press Release RC2
I've added the changes to date (thanks Hans, W.L.).
Also, I've replaced every instance of Linux to GNU/Linux. Is this a good idea?
Will it be mispronounced on the air? Will the reader understand this is Linux
we are talking about?
Please look it over and post your ideas, suggestions, etc.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LOCAL USERS GROUP OFFERS FREE GNU/LINUX INSTALLATION HELP
On Saturday, June 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Phoenix Linux Users
Group (PLUG) will hold a GNU/Linux InstallFest in the Turquoise Room at
Scottsdale Community College, 9000 E. Chaparral Rd., Scottsdale, AZ. This is
an opportunity for computer users to receive expert help in installing
GNU/Linux, a freely available operating system, on their personal computer.
GNU/Linux and other Free Software, such as tools from the GNU project, are
available at no charge through the Internet or as an inexpensive distribution
at most local computer stores. The complete system is known as GNU/Linux.
Businesses and home users alike are turning to Free Software, which guarantees
ones right to freely copy, modify or examine the software and which is
considered by computer experts to be more robust and secure than proprietary
systems.
Computer users are invited to bring their computers to the event and receive
help from PLUG members in installing GNU/Linux.(Only the computer box,
monitor, keyboard and mouse need be brought.) Your current operating system
can remain as an alternative, or we can replace it entirely. There is no
charge for this service. Club members will be available to answer questions
about GNU/Linux, Open Source software, and PLUG as well. The event is open to
the public.
For more information about the InstallFest, email contact@plug.phoenix.az.us

required.
