http://www.cdrfaq.org will answer most of your questions. And they provide links to additional material on topics that are not covered in
depth by them. Section 2 should give you the format information you are looking for.
As I type this I am looking at the cdr faq web pages that I am reading to understand the process of burning cd's. I find the pages well
written and concise on the topics that are covered.
